Policy

*The State Council executive meeting approved the "Several Measures to Promote Home Consumption". The meeting pointed out that home consumption involves multiple fields, long upstream and downstream chains, and large scales. To make a good combination of policies and promote household consumption, policies should be coordinated with policies such as the renovation of old communities, the aging-friendly renovation of residential buildings, the construction of convenient living circles, and the improvement of waste material recycling networks to form a joint force to promote consumption.

*The State Council issued a notice on several measures to promote institutional opening up at international high standards in pilot areas of free trade zones. Taxes will be exempted for aircraft and ships including related parts that have entered pilot areas after temporary exit repairs.

 

Financials

*Beijing Stock Exchange and HKEX signed a memorandum of cooperation on June 29th, jointly announced that the two Beijing-Hong Kong Stock Exchanges will launch a "North and H" dual listing arrangement, which supporting eligible listed companies in both markets to apply for listing on the other market.

*The Administration for Market Regulation has revised and issued the "Regulations on Prohibiting the Exclusion and Restrictions on Competition of Intellectual Property Rights", which pointed out to accelerate the improvement of China's anti-monopoly system in the field of intellectual property rights and provide high-quality system supply and legal guarantee for building a unified national market and will be officially implemented from August 1, 2023.

 

Industrial Economy

*Chengdu Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology issued notice on the issuance of the "Chengdu Electric Vehicle Charging and Swapping Infrastructure Special Plan (2023-2025), which pointed out that by 2025, a total of 3200 charging stations will be built to meet the charging and swapping needs of over 600k electric vehicles.

*MIIT: Focus on cultivating and strengthening the safety emergency industry which pointed out to effectively improve the quality of risk investigation and rectification, accelerate the promotion and application of intelligent equipment and technology, promote "minimity and unmanned" production lines and improve essential safety levels.

* Global crude oil price moved up slightly. August NYMEX crude oil contract up 0.32% to closed at $69.78/b, September Brent contract up 0.15% to closed at $74.35/b. INE crude oil active contract up 1.19% to 544.9 yuan/b.

* Precious metals closed mixed. COMEX gold contract down 0.31% to closed at $1916.2/oz. SHFE gold active contract up 0.23% and closed at 448.62 yuan/gram.

* Metals closed mixed, LME nickel up 2.94%, LME copper down 0.99%, LME lead down 0.77%, LME aluminum down 0.58%. SHFE nickel up 1.29%, SHFE tin up 0.80%, SHFE zinc down 0.65%, bonded copper down 0.58% .

* Commodity futures closed up mostly. Chemistry and energy products saw strong performance, glass up 3.07%, soda ash up 1.74%, PVC up 1.13%. Black series closed up collectively, coking coal up 2.23%, coke up 2.02%, iron ore up 1.21%. Agricultural products moved up mostly, corn starch up 1.69%.
